3-2-1, 1-2-3, What the Heck Is Bothering Me?

Carl Winslow

I really like my birthday. Not just the fact that it is a day devoted to me, but the actual date. I always felt lucky to have been born on this day and like it was much better than everyone else’s for the following reasons (bear with me, real bullet points not working):

– The number is 3-2-1. I always thought this was really cool

– It sounds nice. March 21st.  March. That sounds like a cool, hip month. Not like November (sorry people born in November). Combined with the twenty-one, it just sounds perfect.
          – I always liked when doctor’s offices or insurance companies or anything ask me my birthday and I get to say “three-twenty one”

– The number 21 is my favorite number. I think it would be even if it wasn’t my birthday because it is such a great sounding number. Twenty-one.
          – I also think 14 and 24 sound very good too. I wouldn’t mind a birthday on one of those days as a second choice.

– The quaters associated with my birthday have meaning for me.
          – December 21 was my father’s birthday
          – September 21 is the day I met the boy
          – June 21 – nothing yet but still special

– Rosie O’Donnell’s birthday is March 21, and when she had her show, on this day the entire audience consisted of people with this birthday. Sadly, I didn’t know about it until it aried. Missed camaraderie.

– March 21 is the first full day of spring. The vernal equinox.
          – If I was born on the first full day of winter, I don’t think I’d be bragging about it.

– March 21  is the first day of the Zodiac year
          – It is the first full day of the sign of Aries, considered to be on the cusp of Pisces and Aries. I tend to have more personality traits of Pisces, but both can apply to me.

– For no real reason other than it is mine, I always thought March 21 was just a fantastic day to have a birthday.

I know this list is really, really odd. Thank you for indulging me.

My 26th birthday celebrations will include:

Tonight – sangria and tapas
Tomorrow dinner at Russian Tea Room with the boy
Sunday – blogger meetup brunch (not related to my birthday but exciting nonetheless!)
Next Friday Peter Luger with mommies!

Note to all: The next Henry Day will be Wednesday, March 25. Mark your calendars and remember to enjoy that day.

Quick Eksusize Update
Last night was a sub in spin. She teaches at my gym, just never when I go to class. She was upbeat and peppy and got everyone innvolved. She kept dancing (both on and off the bike). The music was perfect. I have never liked music as much in a spin class as this time.  And she had us to so many jumps and sprints that my heart rate got up high on its own and I was just having fun — I particularly liked when she would have us do 4 seconds sitting, 4 seconds in 2nd position, 4 seconds in 3rd, 4 seconds sitting, over and over. Sometimes it would alternate between sitting and 2nd, or sitting and 3rd. Every time it made the class interesting and I really loved it.

Barney Butter
I used the HangryPants free shipping code back in January to get some chunky and creamy Barney Butter after reading the raves on all the blogs. I popped open the chunky first because I enjoy chunky peanut butter more than creamy. It was very tasty and eventually I made my way through the jar (eating straight out of it). Then came the time to open the creamy. And wow. What a difference! It was the creamiest nut butter I ever tasted, so delicious and smooth. I have been eating a little bit straight from the jar every day. It really satisfies my hunger when I need a snack, and I don’t even have much of it at one time (partially because of my tummy, partially because of practicing self control). I’ve taken to eating it with a plastic knife rather than a spoon to slow me down. My jar is almost finished, and while I will not be ordering more for awhile (it is expensive, especially with shipping), I am so glad I tried it. I never would have thought I’d prefer smooth, but I do — and it is easier on my stomach.

Thank You
Aunt Dale, thank you for the card! I know you read this so I thought a public thank you would be fun.

I always liked that my birthday was in March, none of my friends were, they all seemed to be crowded in June/July. So I was always happy with my birthday and although 3-21 is obviously a cool one, 3-23 is a palindrome and thus also cool.
There’s something on my blog for you today!

I’m impressed, I have to say. Actually rarely do I encounter a weblog that’s both educative and entertaining, and let me tell you, you might have hit the nail on the head. Your idea is excellent; the difficulty is something that not sufficient individuals are speaking intelligently about. I’m very joyful that I stumbled throughout this in my search for one thing relating to this.
