Read my guest post at one of my favorite blogs, Carrots ‘N’ Cake.

Carrots ‘N’ Cake’s Tina is inspiring because she eats healthy, delicious food all the time but is happy to have a cookie every Friday — and sometimes other random days as well. She will fully enjoy a few glasses of wine and indluge in dessert, and then wake up the next day, sweat it out at the gym, eat a wonderful bowl of oats and is right back on track with her healthy ways.

I’m honored to have a guest post on her blog. Thanks Tina!

  1. I read your guest post and thought it was great, and boy can I relate. I have had serious–and I do mean serious knee problems–for six months now, and I am saddened and worried about not exercising. I am trying to lose some weight and do believe exercise is key. But I most likely will not be able to do hard-core cardio again and need to find other alternatives like the elliptical and more weight lifting. I often read other posts about people who can push themselves to the max while exercising, and I do feel some jealousy that I can’t do that. But I have to know that I will be able to do more exercise in a few weeks, and this has been a lesson for me, too, that exercise does not make up for poor eating.

  2. Thank you so much for your guest post…I could’ve written that post and just substituted the word “run” for “spin”. I have now been injured (knee pain as well!) for several months and have done the whole PT thing and was still not improving…mostly because I was still working out the max (just in other ways that weren’t running) instead of allowing my body to rest. I’m finally resting and trying to chill about the whole thing and let my body do its thing. It is a relief in many ways, but I do still find myself getting anxious about it. I hope as time goes on I can continue to develop a healthier attitude about it, as it seems you have done!

Thank you for sharing your story!
