Chobani Yogurt: My Official Review

Awhile back, Tiffany at Chobani sent me the following flavors to taste and review (all 0%): Plain, Vanilla, Peach, Blueberry and Strawberry.

chobani

Until this point, the only Greek yogurt I was eating was Fage. I was excited to try these out because I had heard so many great things about this brand.

I received 2 containers of each flavor, so a lot of tasting was done! Here are my thoughts:

Plain: Good, thick and creamy! Much creamier than Fage. Similar in taste, but this one tasted better.

Peach: Delicious! Big peach chunks really made this flavor a great one!

Blueberry and Strawberry: Lots of fruit, great taste, but I liked the peach better. It had more of a real fruit flavor.

And, saving the best fot last…

Vanilla: Omg. This changed my yogurt-eating life! This is seriously my PERFECT yogurt. Thick, creamy, smooth, vanilla-y and just DELICIOUS. Ever since  I got these samples (a few months ago already) I have been regularly buying all the Vanilla they have at the boy’s local supermarket (mine sadly does not carry Chobani). I literally go there and buy every single Vanilla Chobani on a weekly basis.

Vanilla Chobani

On a daily basis, usually for breakfast, I will mix a Vanilla Chobani with Bauman’s Pumpkin Butter. It tastes exactly like pumpkin cheesecake! I crave this combination upon waking up and don’t stop thinking about it until I have it. I love it — and it is also a fantastic pre-gym snack! And it does not bother my stomach which is key — plus, the active cultures can only help.

Here is some info:

Vanilla Flavored Nonfat Greek Yogurt

  • All Natural
  • Live & Active Cultures
  • Great source of protein
  • Perfect way to increase energy
  • Rich smooth creamy texture
  • A great mid day snack
  • Helps prevent the risk of Osteoporosis
  • Includes (3) active probiotics
  • Gluten free
  •

Note: I have tried the Honey 0% on my own as well. It is good, but I’d rather just add my own honey to plain. I have not tried any lowfat or original versions of Chobani.

Chobani Vanilla is officially my favorite yogurt! A big thanks to Tiffany for introducing me to Chobani — and an apology to those who visit Jubilee grocery store on the Upper West Side and find that their entire inventory of Vanilla has been depleted. That would be my fault.

Ditto, the vanilla is out of this world. And I usually don’t even like vanilla that much. The plain is great too. I think chobani may be one of my top 5 fav foods. I haven’t tried the peach.

I guess I’m the only one who finds Chobani inedible. It tastes like chalk with a sickly sweet aftertaste! Tums-flavored yogurt, anyone?

FAGE is the only way to go.

Amazing! I have had a lactose problem for about 8 years, even with yogurt. But … I love the stuff, so when I saw Chobani, I gave it a shot. It is the best yogurt I’ve ever had, and my very finicky stomach likes it and is feeling better than in years! Thanks!

I just finished the container I had bought 2 weeks ago and fell in love. It was vanilla. I usually just eat yoplait peach but this was so good!

Eat one every day for your health….

Love it…the best! Have never used sour cream in my life, have always used yogurt for dips, etc. This yogurt is totally the best on the market in the USA!

I would rather eat the Giant brand yogurt. It was like eating milk of magnesium…

I have been eating Chobani Yogurt for about 3 months. I only tried it because it was on sale at my local grocer. I usually buy Yoplait but I knew that their had to be something better. As soon as I tried it I was hooked still it was a little pricey for me even at $1.33 each on sale $1.99 off. Then I found it at BJs warehouse for $11.95 for a case of 12. I am now on my 4th case. Although sadly there is no vanilla in the case only blueberry, peach and strawberry.

Wow! Just finished a Chobani Plain with my own drizzle of Organic Wildflower Honey 🙂 DIVINE… Absolutely the best yougurt imho The plain is fabulously smooth and thick with a mild taste… It’s filling too and very nutritious. The fruit flavors complement this same great plain yougurt with plump berries and just the right amount of sweetness.

Compared to Fage this yogurt was a big disappointment for me. It was on the tangy side, much more watery than Fage and very expensive…I paid almost $6 for the 16 oz container. I don’t see much difference in this compared to American yogurts in texture and not worth the additional price.

I don’t find Chobani as satisfying as Fage, plus theres a bit too much fruit “syrup” in the Chobani so it makes it too sweet. It’s a thinner yogurt also which I do not care for. For me, I only buy Chobani if my store is out of Fage

I actually tried the Non-Fat Chobani Vanilla. Let me preface this by the fact that I usually LOATHE non-fat or low-fat alternatives. I got it because I couldn’t handle another granola bar for breakfast and I am ecstatic by how good it tastes.

It is no wonder that I can never find vanilla in my food store. Its people like you who hoard the good stuff! Thanks for thinking of others!

Hello! This is kind of off topic but I need some help from an established blog.
Is it hard to set up your own blog? I’m not very techincal but I can figure things out pretty
fast. I’m thinking about making my own but I’m not sure where to begin. Do you have any points or suggestions?
      Thanks
