My Friend

One of the best perks of blogging is meeting people I wouldn’t otherwise have met and making some really good friends. I’ve mentioned my friend Jen from Prior Fat Girl a number of times on here. I talk to her almost every day on email and BBM. I think she is one of the sweetest, most genuine people I have met (albeit not in person – yet). Jen is an incredible person who lost 100 pounds over the last two years the good old fashioned way — eating healthy and exercising. Her blog is an inspiration to many and it makes me happy every day.

On Friday, Jen received some horrible news. Jen was amazing enough to open her heart to the blog world. You can read her thoughts here.

I am not usually the type to post information like this online, but I would like to ask everyone to visit her blog entry and keep her family in your thoughts. I wish I lived closer (Jen lives in Minnesota) and I wish there is something I could do. Since Jen was brave enough to share this on her blog, I think that what I can do now, aside from being there for her, is let you know that you can show Jen your support.

Jen’s post made me burst into tears.. I dont know her as well as you do- but in the short time I’ve been reading her blog and she has read mine- she made me feel like i fit into the prior fat girl family- so sweet and caring.. just like her mom. i feel so bad for her- my carlos lost both of his parents at a young age too- both under tragic circumstances, so when I told him we both cried for jen and her family. i hope she read this dori- you are a good friend..
